Welcome |
Hello, welcome to my web site,
I like to call it my "virtual shack"!
Take a look around I've included things about what I like
to do on-line. Look at the About Me section
to see what I like to
do in the 'real world' too. Don't forget to sign my Guest Book either. I enjoy hearing back
from those who use my web site. |

About
the Webmaster |
So, you want to know a little about me. Well, lets
see...I'm 17 years old, and I've been licensed since November
1999. I am currently a Technician, though I'm attempting to learn
morse code (CW) so I can get my General class license.
Some of the things I like
to do in the 'real world' are:
- Ham radio
- Work on
Computers/Create Web Sites
- Weather/Skywarn
- Playing Guitar
Ham radio is probably my
favorite hobby, I don't get nearly as much time to talk on my
radio as I would like. I'm hoping to also join MARS once I upgrade
my license.
Our first computer was a
Macintosh LC. It ran at a blistering 16MHz and had 4 megs of ram
(later maxed at 16 megs). We've had several other Macs since, our
latest being a 333MHz Tangerine iMac. But we've only had one
windows computer and nobody likes it. Yea, it's the fastest
machine we own, but it crashes daily and generally doesn't work as
well as our Macs have.

IPhone |
I hope you try IPhone. IPhone is voice-over-IP software that hams
have embraced for many uses. Such as:
- "Online DXing" (hams from all over the world use IPhone)
- Linking repeaters to the internet to allow worldwide contacts through
them
- Linking repeaters together (especially over long distances) economically
IPhone is used for so many more things, but those are the ones that came to
mind. IPhone is also very easy to use, the only hardware you need to have is a
computer with an internet connection (which you have if you're reading this),
and a microphone. If you have those items you're ready to check out IPhone.
