TCARC VE Team Exam Schedule
The VE Team holds exams quarterly at the University of Illinois Fire Service Institute. Located at 11 Gerty Drive in Champaign, 61820, the Fire Institute (FSI) may be accessed by driving on South First Street between the Assembly Hall and Windsor Road. About halfway between these points is the UI Credit Union, at the intersection of Gerty Drive and South First Street. Turn West (the only way you can turn) and drive to the end of the street, ending in a parking lot. This is the FSI. Signs will be on the front door indicating the location inside of the exam session. Exams start promptly at 1:00 p.m. Please bring a picture ID, your original license (if you hold a license), and a copy of the license. The exam fee set by the ARRL VEC for 2007 is $14.00. You may take any number of exam elements for that fee as long as each is passed. Repeat after failure must be treated as a new exam and requires a new fee, per the ARRL VEC.
