Priority B is a white envelope, air mail but slower than Priority A 2. Priority A is a Air Mail envelope. 3. New, Large IRC are preferred. 4. Manila post office will exchange IRC's. Outlying Post Offices will not. 5. IRC's are not accepted in Lebanon 6. An IRC in Kuwait is only accepted if it is new and clearly stamped and the country name is shown clearly, otherwise not accepted. 7. ON4ANT reports 1 irc is good for surface rate and 2 irc's are needed for air mail postage which is 34 Belgian Francs. 8. air mail postage from Japan is 110 Yen. At todays exchange rate $1 US is not quite enough. 9. It now costs 0.65 Euros for surface mail and 0.68 Euros for air mail 10. Luxembourg has only one type of service, no such thing as surface or air mail. 11. IRC's only. India does not allow possesion of Green Stamps. 12. IRC's are not available in Bulgaria. Only source is from dxer's who send to Bulgarian hams. Also attempting to purchase IRC's via mail using GS's is risky. 13. $2US is good to all destinations but 3 IRC's needed for Asia & Oceania 14. Old (small) IRC'S are no longer accepted. Large only. 15. Present rates require $4.50LU/20grm to USA & $5.20LU/20grm to rest of world. 16. IRC's can only be redeemed at main PO in Ulaan Batar. So if qsl to other QTH, use GS's. 17. Outlying Post offices resist IRC redemptions. 18. Old IRC's are accepted at local PO discretion (suggests using New) A couple of foreign hams remind us to check the exchange rate. Sometimes $1 US is less than postage, sometimes it's more. Also, sometimes the foreign ham has to pay a fee to exchange GS's for the local currency. This fee is frequently more than the GS! 19. It is possible to order Canadian postage online at http://www.canadapost.ca/ Canada will the stamps directly to you. 1 GS is sufficient for USA mail, 2 GS is required for other International mail. 20. Belarus Postal system will accept only NEW STYLE IRC coupons. I cannot guarantee the accuracy of the chart other than to report information received from Hams in the country they are reporting on.
