BRVARS Club Repeaters and Frequencies

Repeaters

The new 2M repeater is now online. The 2m frequency is 145.480 with a minus offset. The new machine went online September 12, 2000.

The BRVARS owns and maintains 3 repeaters. A 220 mhz repeater, a 440 mhz repeater and 2m repeater. The 220 & 440 machines are 2 Hi-Pro repeaters made by Maggiore Electronics Lab.

The 2m machine is a GE Master II and operates on the frequency of 145.480 running 40 watts of power with the antenna at 143'.

The 440 machine operates on the frequency of 444.975, running a 35 watt amplifier with antenna at 140'. The 220 machine operates on 224.440, only running a mere 20 watts with its antenna at 130'. Both machines are linked together with a Links Communications RC-1 controller and are linked together most of the time.

The 2m machine is on the tower at Drake's Electric on the southside of Shelbyville and the 220 & 440 machines are on the tower at Carl Mohr's Construction on the Eastside of town.
