Illinois Central College Electronics Club

The purposes of the Illinois Central College Electronics Club include:

• expanding the learning opportunities for all our students by a variety of activities, including field trips, guest speakers, operating activities, and community service,
• providing opportunities for students to gain practical experience in communication electronics,
• fostering a sense of teamwork and camraderie among Electronics students,
• enhancing awareness of and preparation for careers in Electronics, and
• providing social activities for Electronics students and staff (to have some FUN!).

The Club Amateur Radio Station provides the equipment to allow students to gain technical and operating experience without making a major investment in ham gear while they are completing their degree or certificate programs. All our full-time Electronics faculty are hams, ready to help any student enjoy the great hobby of Amateur Radio.

Electronics Club Membership

Any Illinois Central College student, faculty, or graduate can be a member of the Electronics Club. The only criteria is an interest in the field of Electronics and the activities of the Club.
