My thrills over the years have been from working DX in
various modes from CW, SSB and SSTV, and later on to use PSK31, MFSK, and
MT63. Awards received at this station include WAS, DXCC, Work the World
Award, worked 100 nations award, the DXCC Millennium award, and 31 on 31.
The present countries worked is well over 300. Slow Scan Television
has moved from the green screen to full color with over 40 countries
having exchanged pictures with me.
I like to meet people and I would like to become acquainted with you, I work all bands. Hi . . . I greet you as an Amateur Radio Operator. My History and background follows: I was licensed as KN1LJK in June of 1959, living in Berkley Massachusetts. When I moved back to the mid-western part of the United States to Ypsilanti, Michigan in April of 1966, my call sign changed into W8HTM. I held this call for the next 30 years and was granted the Extra Class license. In September of 1996 while being occupied in teaching Health Sciences at Western Illinois University, I was granted my present call sign (W9CY) by the Federal Communications Commission. | |||
