August 7, 2004

The August 7 Sell and Swap has past and we have some photos here to show of the participants at play.

Over a dozen cars showed up and many were there more as shoppers than sellers. After an hour or so, some of them left for other Saturday 'things to do', and then the sellers started coming in.

When the dust settled, there were a good mix of new arrivals and they were both buyers and sellers. The overall event was fun and rewarding to all. Several folks had much interest in getting a Museum tour, so the Director gave a nice tour dwelling on the radio and family history.

The upshot of it is that all were very happy to have come and also to have taken the offered tour. Five of them in fact joined the Marshall Ensor Memorial Organization. The Director, WØHXS calls that a very successful Sell & Swap day. How about a repeat of that the next time on September 4th?

Below are some untitled shots of shoppers and sellers just at the end of the meet. Ed Mitchell's little boy was surprised to find water comes out of the ground as well as the home facets.
