MAY MEETING

Don't forget!
The time and location has changed. The meeting will start at 6:30 PM at
Maxwell Park just south of Normal West High School. Don't forget the
fixings for the cookout and the equipment for the foxhunt.

APRIL PREZ COLUMN
CQ CQ the CIRC

It's now May and this month we will be holding a combination Fox Hunt
and picnic.  The Fox Hunt will begin at 1830 and be contained within the
Town of Normal.  At 1930, we begin the picnic.  Bring the meat you wish
to grill and anything you wish to share.  Good Luck on finding the fox
and being one of the first to find the fox.  Jim, WB9UWA, is the fox so
everyone has a good chance on being the first to find the fox.  The
frequency of the Fox Hunt is 146.340.

One of the oldest net in this area is the 160 Meter Net.  It meets at
0815 local time on Sunday morning on 1815 kHz.  AM is the type of
modulation used on this net.  The 160 Meter Net got its start in the
'30's.  It has been in operation ever since.  There was a break in
operation during WWII when all Amateur Radio operation was suspended.
How about joining the gang on the top band using the first modulation
type of voice radio transmission.
