CQ CQ CQ to the CIRC
The summer of 2002 would not be complete without a family picnic sponsored by the CIRC.  In place of the Wednesday August meeting your club will sponsor a picnic at the Towanda Park just off old route 66.   The club will supply hamburgers and buns, those attending are asked to bring a dish to pass, drink and their own table service.   I'm not aware of the seating availability, so it's suggested to bring a lounge chair or two.    I will bring my gas grill for the cooking.
Date:  August 18, 2002 (Sunday)
Time:  Begin around 4 or after, eat around 5 Talk in:  146.94 (W9AML repeater)
We would like a count of those wishing to attend, please make contact on the Tuesday night 9 PM, 2M net to confirm your attendance.  CIRC will purchase extra meat to cover those that can't check in.  Or if you wish, leave a message on my home phone at 827-8183 as to your number expected in attendance, by August 16th.  You may address any questions to the club officers or my home phone.
The site is a first come first serve, if someone could arrive a bit early, that would greatly be appreciated.  The site does not have power, HT's or mobile units will be needed to access the W9AML repeater.
Thanks and lets hope for cool, dry weather and a good attendance.
