The CRES radio club was established in 1962 and serves the central Ohio area. Its goals include stimulating interest in amateur radio, the exchange of technical information, emergency readiness, and social activities for the membership and their families.
Weekly Net
The club sponsors an informal 2 meter NET every Sunday evening at 9 PM on its repeater (146.67/131.8). The NET is open to everyone - you do not need to be a member to join in. Visitors are always welcome and encouraged to participate.

October 20, 2011
The social hour will be from 6 - 7pm at the New Albany Public Library. As always, a carry-in dinner is allowed. Kitchen facilities are available. A short business meeting will begin promptly at 7pm.
Then we will have a program presented by Jerry Pittenger, K8RA, who has been an active ham since 1960, when first licensed as KN8UNG. Without overstating it, I can say that he is world class in many ways:
- Top of the DXCC Honor Role (366 countries confirmed)
- Exquisite designer and builder of a wide range of equipment
- Numerous projects featured in the late W6SAI Handbook, QST and earlier ARRL Handbooks
- State-of-the-art Antenna Tuner
- HF Amplifier based on 3CX1500D7 tube, featured in the 2011 ARRL Handbook
- Expert at the mechanical design and packaging of construction projects
- Runs a home business designing and constructing keyer paddles that are selling worldwide (See eham reviews - they're superb!)
Jerry will bring examples of his construction projects including those mentioned above. You don't want to miss this one!
