MARS I have been involved with the MARS program for more than 30 years, holding the following call signs: AFA9QPL, AE1QP, AFB2VQ, XP1AA, AFT2BI, AFA4KKQ, and AFA2BI. With the cutback in military personnel and dollars, there is an ever increasing need for volunteer participation in the program. The need for phone patches are almost nil, what with the satellite telephone system world wide. There is a vast need for skilled communicators in digital communications. ATLANTA OLYMPIC PINS: If you are one of the many hams I made contact with during the 96' summer olympic games, using the special authorized callsigns of AC26DO, AC96DO and AC400DO , I would like to exchange QSLs. I have collected a lot of the olympic pins issued for the 1996 Atlanta Olympic games and have a few hundred duplicates. If you find me in your log, send me a QSL with an SASE (a 4X6 brown clasp envelope is best), 2 ounces of postage, and I will return my QSL with an OLYMPIC pin; while the supply lasts.
