What is Ham Radio?

Welcome!

The Stu Rockafellow Amateur Radio Society was founded in 1960 and has been affiliated with the ARRL for 45 years. We have monthly meetings, except in July and August, where members can chat over coffee and a donut while conducting a sometimes short business meeting. We are also trying to do discussions in our meetings about radio, if you have any ideas E-Mail W8RIF.

The club also meets for breakfast at Senate Coney Island 39430 Dun Rovin Dr. Northville, MI it is off Haggerty between 5 and 6 Mile on the west side of the road. There is a light at that intersection. The restaurant sits up on a hill. The breakfast is at 9:00 a.m. every Saturday..

Our club's interests and activities are wide and varied; they include, but are not limited to, Field Day participation, Special Events Stations, Moon Bounce efforts, Project Days, Fox Hunts, Halloween Patrols and Public Service Events. We have training classes to help first time amateurs to get their license and others up-grade. Classes are offered for theory and code.

Quote of the month

"Our heroes are those... who... act above and beyond the call of duty and in so doing give definition to patriotism and elevate all of us.... America is the land of the free because we are the home of the brave. "

Please send a Self Addressed Stamped Envelope for a QSL card. Thank you.
