My New Rig is Cool Cool Cool!

The new Ten-Tec Pegasus

Is the most advanced radio available today for under a Thousand dollars, and it's made in the USA by Ten-Tec http://www.tentec.com/. The operation is easy and WONDERFUL! Even the most inexperienced operator can easily get this radio on the air and operate all the features included, like DSP, which really makes crowded band conditions easy to operate under, as illustrated below!

It's so easy we can do it from here, but then we are a couple of real animals.Kiesha and Pepper.

This picture is self-explanatory!

Ten-Tec PEGASUS HF Amateur transceiver, controlled by your computer. .

Myself and Scott, WB9RRU an operator at W1AW sending the first SSTV picture for the Saturday IVCA net, after I donated a complete system to the ARRL station.

My QTH is Lambertville, Michigan, which is about 3 miles North of Toledo, Ohio. I work at the Jeep plants in Toledo as a Area Manager of Maintenance. My XYL is Karen. I like to work SSTV and PSK-31, mostly on 20 meters. This is my first attempt at a Webpage and I hope you like it. I will be updating it on a regular basis with other HOT items and things that would interest Ham Radio operators. I will also add some links.

The latest HOT mode to come along is PSK31, a totally new mode of operation, one of the most exciting and successful to come to amateur radio in years. It is generating more excitement than Monica, and bringing out the old RTTY buffs, who got disgusted with all the QRM from the wide band modes! It only occupies 31.5 Hz of bandwidth, and can be operated through heavy QRM with ease. If you can see and hear this webpage you can download and use PSK31 utilizing your sound card! Click here>>> http://www.kender.es/~edu/psk31.html<<< to get more info and download the free software! As far as bandwidth goes 31.5 Hz is like a pencil compared to a telephone pole when you talk about other modes. It should help ease our pollution on the HF bands.

The latest in HOT equipment is the BRAND NEW Ten-Tec Pegasus It has no knobs! HOLY COW, what is this world coming to? I guess the feel of a mouse in your hand and a computer screen in your face is replacing the feel of the knobs and the readout on your radio panel. This is the new direction for not only ham radio, but probably all electronics. The good news is with the DSP programs included, you can pick a flea out of a herd of elephants, and carry on a QSO with him. This looks like a good rig to run PSK31 on and the boys' at the factory tell me they have one running PSK31 around the clock to test the durability of the rig. Sounds good to me. Click here>>> http://www.tentec.com/<<< to have a look at it and lots of other good stuff.

73 for now see you on SSTV or PSK31. Norm I can be E-mailed at [email protected]
