Welcome to "THE PAGE"- Bound to be seen by hundred of thousands. I’m just going to post a bunch of pictures, so you can laugh as you peek into my 1st issue of my "HOME PAGE". Let’s start with my beginnings- Here I am at around 4 years old with 2 of my 5 sisters. Born Detroit, Michigan, June 24th, 1949 I included pictures of my sisters now, as well as myself. Go ahead and laugh! There's a whole lot to compare. |
Here’s some more of my family, not in any particular order. I’ll make notations as I go.

The Left picture is of my Son Jimmy at Bears Den – in Virginia the site that wireless telegraphy was first tested, some 30 years before Marconi. Even though a patent was issued by the US PATENT OFFICE and funding approved by Congress, everything fell and Malcolm Loomis died penniless. The right picture is Jimmy with his BB gun while camping in West Virginia |

.

These 3 pictures above are more family, even some hams! Left to right- Karen Ann, W8LM and WA2DKC (the XXYL, and good friend!) Notice she is "upset" because I touched her. Then there is Katie Beth- N2SNG. These pictures are about 2 years old. You know how hard it is to snap pictures of now 19 and 21 year old girls. It isn't cool hanging with Dad!

Finally, here are a few pictures of me
.I was first licensed as WN8TBV in November of 1965, in Trenton, Michigan.

As WA2AJQ in 1978, my basement Royal Oak, Michigan QTH. Antennas consisted of a Mosley TA33 at 40 feet and a 1/2-wave 160-meter dipole center fed with open wire feed. Note behind my head was a NC2000 linear. There were 2 complete kW stations there. FT-101E and FT101EE and FL2100. |

Here I am on my RUSSIAN SIDECAR MOTORCYCLE. It's an IMZ-URAL '2000 Bavarian Classic made in Irbit, Siberia, Russia. Last summer I drove it from 50 miles north of Boston to 100 miles South west of Washington DC. It's based on a 1938 BMW and WWII Harley model XA. There are over 3 and 1/2 million of these in the world. If you'd like to know more about URAL motorcycles, visit this site. http://www.ural.com |
My favorite web sites are:
