The Midland Amateur Radio Club will be holding it's 31st annual Hamfest on Saturday, June 18th, 2005. And we're proud to announce that this year, we'll be going back to the Gerstacker Fair Center on the Midland County Fairgrounds. Maps are provided here and on our flyer, here. Talk-in will be on the Midland Repeater, +147.00MHz. Vendor set-up is at 6:30 am, with doors opening for the public at 8:00 am. Admission is a $5.00 donation. Tables are $5.00. As always, the MARC Hamfest will feature a number of commercial vendors as well as a number of your fellow amateurs with equipment to sell and trade. Expect the wares available to run the usual gamut from Amateur Radio equipment and accessories to computers, software and parts to coax and connectors. Space will be available for trunk sales, and parking is free. And, of course, MARC will have it's large selection of vacuum tubes available for sale. Doors open at 8:00 am; Testing begins promptly at 9:00 am. Applicants need to bring two pieces of ID, any licenses and CSCEs that are applicable, plus photocopies and two pencils. Calculators are optional. The test fee is $14.00. Checks should be made out to ARRL/VEC. If applicants choose to visit the Hamfest after their tests, the gate fee is not included in the testing fee.
