Hello....My name is ZEKE CARR. My email address is good on www.qrz.com.I hold Amateur Radio License W8EEO.
If you would like to work my station please send me an email to setup a "sked" or message me. I would be happy to work you for any award you might be working on or just contact for a "ragchew".
My favorite mode and band is 40 meter CW but I can get on about any band that would suit your needs.
I also operate 2 meter FM. Our frequency is 146.670 with -.600 offset. But really, if you get close enough for 2 meter work you could just drop by for an "eyeball" contact.

A short outline of some of the activities of Amateur Radio Station W8EEO

Although I have not been very active in County hunting lately, I still keep records and have about 2,450 of the 3,039 some odd counties (changes from time to time)worked and confirmed.
As I stated earlier my first love is CW. I have been on the air since 1959 and have always been very fond of CW work.
I meet with locals on 3.830 mhz(LSB) most mornings at 8:30 (local time).
On the CW bands I usually work about 30KHZ above the bottom of each respective band. For example: 3.530, 7.030, 14.030 etc. I am not really that much interested in DX work, however if it comes by, I will try to snag the contact. I enjoy working any speed that is comfortable for the station I am in contact with.
I enjoy meeting new people and over the years I have made many good friends on the air.

Another activity which I enjoy which is related to "ham radio" is the restoration of older items of ham gear.
I have always been pretty much of a "pack rat" and enjoy buying or trading for older gear and trying to restore it to it's original condition.
I especially like to collect the older Collins, Drake, Hallicrafters, National, and just about any of the older classic equipment.
Also, I enjoy putting the older gear on the air.
The New equipment is great and I have it as well. However, I rather prefer the vintage amateur radio equipment. If you need a part for one of the older units you might inquire by email and it is possible I would have the item you need in the junk box or know where you could find it.
My present project is changing from Microsoft windows to linux. I have found linux to be more stable. As time goes by I have been able to do just about anything on linux that I was able to do on windows. The study of linux is in line with ham radio and also allows me to solve problems rather than plug and play applications on windows. If you are interested in linux contact me. I would be glad to hear from you since it is my latest "craze".
