What is the K1?  It is a 2 or 4 band HF CW QRP transceiver kit that is microprocessor controlled with a built in memory keyer, LCD display, VFO tuning and low power consumption(<50mA on receive).  There's also a ton of options available including an Auto Antenna Tuner, Noise Blanker and internal battery pack.

Yes, this is a kit but don't let that scare you away!  If you're not an experienced builder, you can either find someone to build it for you or dive in and try it yourself!  I opted to have it built for me and there are many builders out there that will do it for free or a small fee.  Of course, after seeing the kit all put together I realized that I probably could have done it myself!

Customer support is amazing!  In addition to prompt, courteous technical assistance directly from Elecraft there's also an Elecraft e-mail list that has so many knowledgeable, friendly people on it that it is hard to imagine a problem you can't get an answer to!
