Chillicothe, Ohio

Celebrating Our Fiftieth Year.

Thanks to everyone who made the event successful!

Everyone seemed to enjoy themselves along with great food.

Not many Radio contacts were made, but a good time was had by all.

A Email from Dave Smith K5MGB

I hope your special event station had a great time. I was unable to hear you with all the contest activity.

I was a member of your club and took a Novice class sponsored by the club back around 1961.

I was about 16 then, and in high school. My first call was kn8wix, then k8wix, and now k5mgb after moving to Texas.

Glenn Lubinshiner taught the class (forgot his call) .

At that time the club met in a building next to the fair grounds and had a couple stations set up.

Many of the Chillicothe hams helped Elmer me and most are probably sk by now.

Ham radio helped me go into a career in electronics and has been a good hobby all my life.

Just wanted to say thanks and congratulations to the SVARC on your 50th anniversary.

Sincerely

DAVE SMITH K5MGB
