During my high school years, I obtained a General Class amateur radio license but allowed it to
expire. In 1981 I again became interested in amateur radio and got my license again. I have
changed my call sign from KC7LZ to W7LZ. I enjoy the pursuit of DX countries.
My transceiver is a Kenwood TS-940, my antennas are a 20 m. Hy-gain 204 BAS beam,
Hy-gain tribander, and
a 40 meter folded dipole. My current country count is 320 worked, 314 confirmed. My DX Need List is located at:
http://www.qsl.net/w7lz/needlist.htm
My more in depth ham radio bio is located at http://www.toten.info/~roger/w7lzbio.htm
- My second ham radio enjoyment is working IBMers during the annual IBM
QSO Party. If you worked for IBM, or an affiliated company, and would like to
work the QSO party please see www.ibmarc.org
You do not need to be
an IBM retiree. We also have an e-mail
reflector named IBMHAM on yahoo groups.
- There is an IBM Saturday Net on 14.347.0 at 1600 UTC,
see www.ibmarc.org for the 40 meter
net .
