Solution: Realign FM oscillator section
See my article from Proceedings of the Central
States VHF Society.
This construction article appeared
in 1987 in Radiotechnika magazine (Hungary). The amplifier
was designed by Gabor Draskovits, HA1YA, who produces similar amplifiers
commercially for export. The GI7B is a Russian triode suitable for
operation at 13 and 23 cm, as well as 6 and 2 meters. The tubes are
readily available from several vendors in the Ukraine at quite reasonable
prices. The text of the article is in Hungarian, of course, but the
schematics and construction layouts are easy to follow. The second half
of the article is a 4CX250B amplifier for 432 MHz.
The data sheet for the GI7B tube is provided here.
