 He was born 28 September 1906 and made his first radio
contact in 1920. One of his earliest rig's was a Ford spark
coil and a 1 kw rotary in 1922. Later he began using CW with
a UV203 at 50 watts.

John spent 2 1/2 years in the Army Air Corps during WWII and
was a retired lumber manufacturer.

He was active on CW and SSB with a 1 kw rig, was a member
of the ARRL, QWCA, FHC, OOTC and DXCC.
