| ALIAS: | A name used instead of call sign as a short cut to connect tosomeone. The TNC takes care of station identification. | ||
| BBS: | Mailbox used to store messages addressed to a person or groupof persons or post information for everyone to read. | ||
| Node: | A local TNC you can connect to to get a distant station. | ||
| TNC: | An abbreviation for 'Terminal Node Controller' which is thedevice between the radio and terminal or computer. | ||
