A Blast from the Past! |
Can you recognize this great CW operator? Funny what the years will do to one! Hi, hi. |
![]() | In Photo first main rig on left was a War Surplus Navy Air Craft Xmite built by bendix TA-12C to the left of that was an National NC-200 Receiver which on top of that sat an Hallicrafters S-38b receiver to the right was Heath Kit VFO-1 their first VFO and then was the World Radio's 65A xmitter and 65 watts CW 50 watts AM. My elmer's QSL is seen between the two maps on bottom his call was W7AFZ - All Full Zippy; now a SK. You can see the old knife switch were the ant came into the house. No awards other than the old RCC "Rag Chewers Club" you can also see the station license on top of the receiver and log book was handy as you had to log all transmissions in those days 73 John |
