Sue and I are members of Crestview Baptist Church in Claremont, Califorina. Our church is on 4 acres of land at the end of Towne Avenue which puts it in the foothills. Sue is a Deacon this year and I have been the treasurer for 6 years.

POMONA VALLEY CHAPTER

Sue is Director of Emergency Servicies. She has her hands full dealing with preparedness for disasters, Service to Military Families, Veteran Affairs,and Nursing. I am a volunteer doing many different things. Some of them are: Logistics, Disaster Action Team, Damage Assessment, driver for the Emergecy Response Vehicle, I operate radios, I install Red Cross Life Line for the elderly.

This is my call sign for my ham radio operation. My main interest now is the "Magic Band" which is the 6 meter ham band. Because of the effects of the sunspot cycle I should be able to make contacts all around the world starting next fall. I have a JRC transceiver and pair of 5 element beams matched together.

My other interests I will write about later.
