Jim was born
Dec. 8, 1923 in Glenville, MT and graduated from Billings High School.
He served in the Army Air Corps in the Pacific from 1942 - 1945. He
began school in Dayton, OH and finished at the University of Nevada,
Reno. He came to China Lake in 1948 to work at the Naval Ordnance Test
Station and later transferred to USNSMSES, Port Hueneme.
He was a
life member of the ARRL, an active member of the Mission Trail Net for
many years, a founding member of the High Desert DX Association and an
avid Amateur Radio Operator for more than 50 years.

time, into each of our lives, there stops a special person who enchants
us with his extraordinary gift of living," said one who remembered him.
"Jim will be remembered and loved forever by those fortunate enough to
have known him."
