W5UK-10 APRS Digipeater QRT; W5UK-9 Changes Aliases

The New Orleans WIDE area APRS digipeater W5UK-10 is now QRT. The new APRS digi, W5UK-9, is now QRV from the WWL-TV tower. Please note, in accordance with current APRS practices, the "aliases" have been changed from WIDE, RELAY, and TRACE to WIDE2-2, WIDE2-1, WIDE3-3, and WIDE3-2.


444.200 repeater has a new antenna! Repeater is now linked to Sorrento and Port Allen (Baton Rouge), LA. More upgrades are on the way!

The Greater New Orleans Amateur Radio Club, Inc. is a general interest club, with a focus on "continuing education" for radio amateurs. With so many different facets to ham radio, it's sometimes hard to know where to turn when you need help. From satellites to APRS to DXing to ATV, the club wants to be an "Elmer" resource for New Orleans area hams!

And, love it or hate it, license restructuring has had a big effect on amateur radio. With all the fresh interest in hamming, GNOARC wants to help usher in a new "golden era for the hobby!
