Amateur Radio or "HAM" radio has been a part of my life since I was 15 years old.  Ham radio operators do a wide variety of activities from public service in assisting by providing emergency communications in case of a disaster to talking to other operators literally around the world using voice, CW (morse code), various digital modes and even satellites in space! (It is a lot of FUN!)  Amateur Radio operators are required to pass several written examinations as well as demonstrate proficiency in international morse code. I was originally licensed as WD5ETT.   You can learn more about what Amateur Radio is all about by visiting the American Radio Relay League (ARRL).

You can visit my personal web pages at Texarkana College here.
