Many hams have inquired about my ground plane vertical. It is
resonant on 17 meters without any balun, tuner or matching device. Following is
information about this antenna, which I built and originally mounted on a 4’ fence
post, as pictured above.
~8’ vertical height, Two sloping ¼ wave ground plane radials, Direct Fed w/RG8-U, No
traps or coils, 50 ohm feedpoint impedance.
