My name is Albert Dupont Jr. and I have been a ham radio operator since 1991. My first callsign was KB5RPJ. I am originally from Houma, Louisiana which is about 60 miles southwest of New Orleans. My main interests in ham radio are radios from the 1950's through the 1970's. Basically, radios that "Glow in the Dark."
Below are links to pictures of WA5VIV's hamshack. He was my wife's grandfather who is now a Silent Key. There are pictures of his radio's and test equipment from the 1940's through the 1980's.
The 5AFD links are pictures of a 1920's Ham Station along with a little history of the station. Fans of vintage ham radio equipment will enjoy thoses pictures.
A Brand New addition is a QuickTime Movie of Jefferson Amateur Radio Club/Delta DX Association Field Day Video that aired on WVUE-TV Fox 8 in New Orleans. Also there is a collage of pictures from Field Day 2003. Click on the Jefferson Club Link below.
If you have any questions, comments, criticisms or additions please email me at the address below. I will be adding to the site as time permits. Hope you enjoy it.
