Here are some photos from the September 9, 2006, BLT-22 Flight Prep in Wharton.

We arrive at the Wharton Intergalactic Spaceport. Mark AB5SS, Michael W2CVZ and Payload Master Mike WA5TWT contemplate the universal significance of BLT-22.

Helium King Charlie K5ENG gets a bit strung out...

Mikey KK5SC is on a mission. We are getting BLT-22 ready for launch, and EVERYONE has a JOB TO DO!

It's Solid. It Works. It Looks GREAT! BLT-22 To The Edge Of Space!

Mr. Ball is a veteran of Many BLT Missions. He's ready to go again. He will be packed into the heart of BLT-22 along with the command receiver and the video gear.

Josh KE5FGC and Payload Master George W5GFP check out one of many radios that will be needed to monitor the flight of BLT-22.

It "looks" like a dreary day, but it's not! We've got the BLT Team, the gear and the desire to go to The Edge Of Space!

"I pledge to support, protect and launch BLT-22 to The Edge Of Space!" Scott WA5LHM is in agreement...

There's Stuff, and then there's STUFF! Payload Master Ron AG5RS brought it ALL! Can this mess be transformed into a functional data and video earth station, or will it simply survive as yet another example of chaos?

"I have no idea what I am doing, but it looks like I am working on something important, and Andy will agree and leave before the truth gets out. We'll get through this as we have before..."

Video Master Tom K5SAF is setting up his gear to record the video as received from BLT-22 on 1.2 GHz. So far, so Good! No worries!

Ron has antennas too, and they look GREAT, but will they work? Can he track the payload accurately? That 23-cm antenna looks like it has a LOT of gain...

WOW! Ron's station is coming together. Perhaps we will get something down from BLT-22. This is the video monitoring station inside the AG5RS Scamp.

More Power - Bigger Antennas! We have the antennas. Here's Ron's idea of some backup power to run things. Yes, it's Plug-And-Play time! It's 9:55 AM. Here we go with BLT-22 on September 9, 2006, from the Wharton Intergalactic Spaceport!

Will the launch succeed? Check it out...

Launch is scheduled for 10 AM on September 9, 2006 from the Wharton Regional Airport. Be There!!!
