Here are some photos from the 18 July 2001 Construction Meeting.

Tony N5RPQ is watching the 1.2 GHz ATV output from the TV ID board (the TV is offscreen to the left) while Wild Bill KD5IIU looks on.


Wild Bill KD5IIU and Tony N5RPQ are checking wires in the TV ID board. The GPS unit for the lifting body/plane in in the lower center - a Garmin 35. It looks like a mouse with a label, but no buttons!

Ummm!!! MORE STUFF! This is the 1.2 GHz ATV transmitter and amplifier that will be flown in the lifting body/plane.

Mike WB5QCC kicks back with some HOT-SPICY chicken provided by John WA5WOD. As Mike says, "ALL WORK BAD! Have some of this, it's diet food!"

The first attempt at the on-screen data display had some glitches in the video, but we're getting there!

Progress was made on the packet side also. Here is Andy's POQET PC monitoring output from the KPC-3 via two meters and a Kenwood TH-D7 HT.

After the gear had been put away, Mike WA5TWT and Mike WB5QCC compare notes while our host, John WA5WOD contemplates...

The second Construction Meeting will be held on Wednesday, August 15, 2001, at the New Secret BLT Lab (1618 Lehman) in NW Central Houston - 8 PM till 10 PM.

Launch is scheduled for 10 AM on August 25, 2001 from the Wharton Regional Airport. Be There!!!
