W4LLO Original Repeater History

per WA4JFJ, L.T. Perpall

One day L.T. and some other club members were talking about how nice it would be to have a club repeater on 2 meters.  Someone remembered that the Navy had disposed of a bunch of them.  When L.T. found them, they had been discarded in a junk yard, and were in a ditch, under dirty water.

Being a resourceful ham, L.T. took the best looking one home, ran it thru his dishwasher, dried it off in his oven, and tried it out.  It Worked! Possibly he had to do a few other things?

Now, for the rest of the story, in L.T.'s own words....(under Construction)
