Welcome to Hurricane Area Hams the official club for the Frying Pan Shoals Light Tower.

The Frying Pan Tower is a Texas Tower 46 miles south of Masonboro Inlet. The light tower marks the shallows around Frying Pan Shoals. It replaced a light ship in 1966 and was manned until 1979 when it became automated. We have set up a repeater out on the tower and have a amateur station out there as well.

We will be out on the tower this weekend March 31st through April 2nd we will try to be on 40m and 20m around 14.260 USB
