W4ATL and K4MRY

My name is Sherman Banks, W4ATL and my wife is Mary, K4MRY.  Above is my station.  It consists of a Yaesu FT-920, Elecraft K2 s/n 2075, and a Ten-Tec 2 meter transverter.  My antennas are a Cushcraft A4S up 50 ft, a Cushcraft 5 element beam on 6M, and a M2 12 element antenna on 2M.  I mostly run 100W and less, but I sometimes turn on the Heathkit SB-201 amplifier (which is right behind me) if the going gets tough. I usually operate contests and ragchew on CW. I belong to the South East Contest Club and the Georgia Tech Amateur Radio Club.  I am a 1987 graduate of Georgia Tech with a Bachelors in Electrical Engineering. Here is my Family Photo Home Page.
