W3MRC has a Digipeater and NODE to help cover the Travis County Amateur Radio Emergency Service (TCARES) in the NW Austin area.  Connecting to W3MRC will automatically send you to W3MRC-1 the PBBS. (CMSG is set to PBBS)

TCARES Packet radio check-ins are done every Sunday evening at 8:00 PM on the TCARES frequency 145.730 MHz. in the unproto mode.
Set your UNPROTO command to "yourname via AUSRLY-1" so that everyone will see your packets.  Please send us an email with your comments and/or suggestions.  Signal reports of our digipeater and node and your QTH would be good information for us so that we can make improvements as needed
