All-Northrop Grumman Net

The company has continued to expand, and the ham clubs of the various parts and pieces of NGC have put together a weekly HF net. Employees and retirees of Northrop Grumman, Litton Ships, Westinghouse, TRW, Norden, North American Aviation, Hallicrafters, etc., are all invited to join in at 3:00 PM Wednesday Eastern time on 14.273 MHz primary or 21.360 MHz backup +/-5 KHz or so.  W3HEM is the de facto net control station at this time and Les Jamison WR3X or Rol Anders K3RA are net controllers.  The TRW Club station W6TRW in Redondo Beach is the key station at the west end.  Other stations that can be involved are: W6HMA San Diego, WA2LQO Bethpage (Long Island), WA6AQQ L.A. and others.  The frequency/band may change as setting up a net that includes all the geographic locations is a good propagation problem.

The Saturday Northrop Grumman net is open to all current or retired NGC or heritage people.  It is meeting at 1500Z on the first Saturday of each month.  Frequencies: 14273 or 21360 backup freq.
