Some Reminders.
The five year registration for telephone "DO NOT CALL" is now expiring. If you want to continue enjoying not having a bunch of phone calls about the time you set down to dinner, you have to re-register with the states Attorney General's office by, I Think, September 15th.
We are still looking for Monday night net control operators. Please consider taking this for a month of Monday nights.
It's approaching the time when we need to give serious consideration to filling our club offices for 2008. I'll be completing a nomination list for the October meeting.

Our Indiana County Amateur Radio Club presented an award of Achievement to Melissa Carnahan, KB3MDS, at our August 7th meeting. ARRL:
At the July ARRL Board of Directors meeting, ARRL Chief Operating Officer Harold Kramer, WJ1B, brought the Board up-to-date on the first six months of 2007 as it relates to ARRL Headquarters and staff. With the elimination of the Morse code testing requirement, a "transformation occurred in Amateur Radio," he said. The ARRL, he said, was prepared for the changes the elimination brought forth: new licensees, license upgrades and a renewed interest in Amateur Radio overall.

General Notes:
KQ3W, Phil, reported there was a break-in to his summer home, near Home, PA. A Ten Tec Corsair II, SN# 2555, with matching power supply was taken along with other household items. They (police) said it was "professionally" done. He asked to pass this on to area hams to be on the lookout for this radio, and to contact the State Police in Indiana if they know of any leads.
We're always looking for new club members so if you know of anyone that might be interested in amateur radio and would like to join the club, please don't hesitate to invite them to a meeting.
Sometime in the future we should be having our pictures taken for the RACES ID cards. Rusty, WB3EUQ, will keep us informed.
Robert Zugates, KB3JOF, our ARES Emergency Coordinator now has identification cards he's issuing.
Please plan to attend our meetings. There the first Tuesday of each month at Eat*N*Park in Indiana. The board meets at 7:00 PM with the regular meeting at 7:30 PM.
For what it's worth, we have forty two (42) members in the club.
