July 2005 News Letter

Darrell R. Norris - WA3AJQ

In case you haven't noticed, the year is half over and the club has had some pretty nice accomplishments.

Unfortunately we came up with a few less members for 2005 than we had last year, even though we did gain back a couple young members from the Tech classes in April.

Some of the club activities consisted of the club demo in February; VE testing, two day Tech classes; (1st time for two day concept) and the MS walk in April; Torrance walk in May; and by the time you read this in the News Letter, field day in June will have been a thing of the past. (With much success, I hope!)

A couple goals I have as president, is to make more of the club information available to the members, the By-Laws; a list of the club members; and a form listing the various club activities.

Looking forward, we have the club picnic in late August at Bill Menk's; VE testing and the club Ham Fest in October; and the Season Party in December.

If any of you have anything of interest to the club regarding radio or anything, Roger and Robert would love to hear from you.

Remember our next meeting is July 5th at Eat-N-Park in Indiana at the regular time, Board meeting at 7:00 PM and the regular meeting at 7:30 PM. Hope to see lots of you there.

73's and have a great July 4th celebration.

Darrell
WA3AJQ
