Rusty reported he had paid the repeater lease for the past four years and he paid our second electric bill for 2008.

() We have forty one (41) members of which three (3) are associates and one (1) is an honorary.

() We held our regular club meetings the first Tuesday of each month at Eat*N*Park in Indiana.
() June was Kim Frech’s last meeting as Secretary. The club presented her with a certificate of appreciation for having served as our secretary since 2005.
() VE Testing was made available as appropriate. Bill McMillen, N3QM was the lead. The sessions were scheduled the first Saturday in April and October.

() The club assisted in an MS walk in Indiana on April 20th with twelve amateurs providing communications, two of which were not club members.
() ARRL Field Day was scheduled for June 28th and 29th during which several members set up and operated at our repeater site and enjoyed a covered dish picnic Saturday evening..
() Our club picnic was held at Richard and Anne Stinson’s home in September.
() An ARRL Simulated Emergency Test (SET) was conducted on October 4th , Christine Bartlebaugh,
KB3QJZ
, served as our net control. She had some fifteen (15) check-ins.() We hosted a second Multi County Breakfast at Eat*N*Park on October 11th.
() Carl Hvozda, N3PIE arranged to have Corey Berkey attend our November meeting to give a presentation and answer any questions regarding Hoss’s fund raising program.
() Our Christmas party is scheduled for December 14th . Roger & Kathy Lute, N3PHX and N3SJY respectively, did the planning again this year.
I want to thank all who served as officers and all who participated in any way in helping to make this another successful club year.

Robert reported he’s been in contact with John Szwarc, N3SPW, and reported Western Pennsylvania Amateur Radio Emergency Service (ARES) has established at website in which Robert will be the web master. The site contains a variety of ARES related information. The website is:www.wpaares.org The site is up and running.

Jerry reminded everyone Terry Carnahan, KB3JOD, will be the ARES Net Coordinator for 2009 since Jerry was elected our club secretary.

Repeater Operation, Elmer Sorisio, KB3WG
Darrell had sent Elmer an email indicating our repeater seemed to be rather noisy for the last couple weeks, Elmer indicated he would check it out. It seems to be better. At the November meeting Jerry Kiehl, WB3DUD, noted from experience, it seems noisy when the room is cold.

Roger and Kathy indicated they have about 20 people signed up so far.
Roger noted this would be the last year for he and Kathy’s involvement in the Christmas party and that they would not be joining the club for 2009. They feel they have little involvement in club activities and the distance they are from Indiana.

Carl reviewed the above procedure for anyone not familiar with it. There was a significant amount of discussion and eventually a motion was made by: Carl Hvozda, N3PIE to hold our February 3rd 2009 meeting at Hoss’s, the motion was second by: Rusty O’Donnell, WB3EUQ, the motion passed.

Bill Menk, W3LAB, thanked Darrell Norris, WA3AJQ, for having served as the club president for the past four years and he extended his thanks to all the officers for their service in 2008.
Rusty O’Donnell, WB3EUQ, asked to consider eliminating our board positions, the general consensus was to leave it in place since we would have to revise the by-laws etc. The board members need to better understand their responsibility.
