Patsy and I had a nice trip to Florida however, as always, it snowed the night before we left and the roads were nicely salted, you know what that means, our vehicles were gray all the way to Selma North Carolina where we had them washed.

We visited our oldest son (The retired Coast Guard Commander) in Savannah, GA where he's employed by Flight Safety International as a flight instructor on Gulf Stream twin engine jets. The more I'm around him, the more respect I have for pilots. Everything is very high tech. He took Patsy and I in two of their flight simulators. He took us for a flight in one, it's hard to imagine how real it was.

I received an E-Mail from Kim with an attachment from Jodi Bartlebaugh indicating neither her nor Roger care to belong to our club anymore, I'm sorry to hear that however, I wish them the very best and will always consider them a friend.

I've looked at the 4 call area to determine if Brooksville or Spring Hill Florida has EchoLink capability, I don't see them listed. I'm considering going to a Spring Hill club meeting next Tuesday evening, January 17th, if I do, I hope to get some information regarding the various aspects of their club. They have a weekly net on Tuesday nights at 8:00 PM on 146.805.

At the last meeting it was determined the club won't be conducting a training session this year. Jimmy St Clair, N3TQR, suggested we tape the sessions and make them available to anyone that would like to view them. This is a good idea except, according to Larry N3LT, this would take as much effort and its time he can't afford right now. Maybe this is something we could consider next year. This is a novel idea, I like it.

Yesterday, January 13th, I worked with Rusty who made some adjustments to our EchoLink and considerably improved the audio. During the net last Monday the audio sounded over modulated and contained a lot of rushing sound.

We now have about thirty six members, I sure hope we have more join as time goes on. Please pay your dues if you haven't done so already.
