President Darrell Norris, WA3AJQ, called the meeting to order at 7:37 PM local time.
Minutes from last meeting were read: (October 2, 2007) Richard Stinson, KB3KBC, moved to accept the minutes, second by Fred Maize, KM3M, motion passed.

REA bill is $124.85 and is due by November 20th.
Club Picnic September 16th Darrell
Bev Sorisio delivered the pie / cake server and it was exchanged with Richard Stinson.
2008 Nominations & December Elections: Darrell Norris, WA3AJQ
The 2008 nomination / club activity summary was presented by Darrell with the following results:
Darrell, once again expressed his disappointment in the lack of Email responses.
Darrell also made it very clear we need a 2008 President and Secretary.
ARES: E.C. Robert Zugates, KB3JOF
Rusty O'Donnell, WB3EUQ, never received his ARES ID card, Robert will see he is issued one.
A Simulated Emergency Test (SET) was conducted Saturday October 6th between 9:00 AM and 12:00 noon. Several members participated. Robert stated he felt it was rather successful and issued certificates to those who participated.
Net Coordinator: Jerry Kiehl, WB3DUD (Not at the meeting)
There was a discussion regarding the lack of ARES net control operators. Bill McMillan, N3QM, reminded everyone that in some years past there weren't any control operators, whoever wanted to, took control of the net. I'm not sure this would work, but maybe we should consider it in the future.

Rusty has EchoLink set up in his home but needs a computer. Larry Freeman, N3LT, volunteered to donate a computer for this service.
Repeater Operation - Elmer Sorisio, KB3WG (Not at the meeting)
Multi County Breakfast - Darrell Norris, WA3AJQ
The multi county breakfast was held Saturday October 20th at Eat*N*Park in Indiana starting around 9:00 AM. There were 20 people in attendance.

We were asked to participate in a Boy Scout / Cub Scout leadership meeting on October 11th I contacted Phil Kopczyk, WB3SXK, twice to discuss our role and what we planned. I contacted Phil again Saturday October 13th to apologize for our no show, He informed me that he himself gave a short presentation on ham radio. He may ask us to give our presentation next year.
50 /50 drawing was won by: __Richard Stinson, KB3KBC__ Richard donated the money to the club, thanks Richard.
VE Testing -- Bill McMillen, N3QM - 1st Saturday in April & October
Bill Mc Millen reported they only had one person requesting to be tested at the October session, therefore the session was cancelled.
Fred Maize KM3M, moved that Bill continue leading the VE testing sessions in 2008, second by Richard Stinson, KB3KBC, motion passed.
Christmas Party - Roger, N3PHX, & Kathy, N3SJY Lute
Roger & Kathy Lute made arrangements at Fire Mountain for our Christmas party on Sunday evening December 9th at 6:00 PM, dinner at 6:30 PM.
Kathy and Roger met Darrell in the entrance to Eat*N*Park and had a brief discussion about the party. They reminded us that our party is about a month away and they need to have some idea as to how many plan to attend.

January 1, 2008 meeting - Darrell WA3AJQ
The January 2008 meeting is scheduled for Wednesday January 2nd since the first Tuesday is New Years Day.
Notes or comments?
Darrell discussed the cost of postage etc and Robert Zugates, KB3JOF, indicated he may be able to have us receive our club identification cards in a PDF format VIA the internet and our website as opposed to having them mailed. This is what ARRL currently is doing.
Darrell made formal ARRL U.S. Amateur Radio Band handouts available to those wanting them, he'll continue to bring them to future meetings.
Rusty O'Donnell will look into the cost of the Armagh Fire Hall for a ham fest.
