I attended the Hernando County Amateur Radio Association's ham fest Saturday, February 18th at the fair grounds here in Brooksville, Florida. Their ham fest starts at 8:ooam and pretty well concludes around noon or shortly thereafter. They charge $5.00 with a coupon or $6.00 without. The fair grounds are a great location with lots of parking area and a single entrance. They had a lot of both outside and inside stands. The weather was great with sunny skies and mid 70's temperature. The refreshments for sale consist of coffee and doughnuts only.

I enjoyed looking at the various antennas and antenna mounts on the vehicles in the parking area.

Field day this year is June 24th & 25th and its soon time to put it all together. Dave, N3DZ has a sign up list he's hoping to fill up with names. If you think you might be interested in participating in this year's event, please let Dave know. We have three meeting nights prior to the Field Day weekend so there's time to sign up, ask questions and learn all about it. I'm attaching Dave's sign up sheet.

We have also been informed that the Torrance Walk is May 13th. We'll need about ten operators for that event also. Maybe we can meet at Dean's Dinner for breakfast then head down to Torrance. I think the walk starts around 10:00 AM.

I appreciate all who have volunteered to take charge of the various events and those that participate as well. We need your help. I was pleased to hear Terry, KB3JOD and Steve, KB3JNZ both volunteered to take the Monday night nets.

If you have anything you would like to have put on the meeting agendas, please let any of the officers know.

REMEMBER, WE HAVE 41 PEOPLE IN THE CLUB AND THE CLUB BELONGS TO ALL 41 MEMBERS.

I Look forward to seeing you at the May meeting
