The g5rv has been my primary
antenna. Since the 35 foot, center fed, ladder
line radiates, I felt it was a good idea to keep it
away from any metal, so I built a wooden mast to erect it. For
less than 200 bucks I constructed a guyed 40 ft mast strong
enough to support a few of my lightweight antennas. The nice
thing about this mast is that if you remove the bottom three
bolts, the upper portion of the mast will be able to be tilted
down for service.
This mast must be
guyed, it can not stand alone!!!
