US COAST GUARD AUXILIARY SPECIAL EVENT OPERATION

This is a reminder that the Special Event day to celebrate the sixty-second anniversary of the Coast Guard Auxiliary takes place next Saturday 20-OCT-01, and it is hoped that we will have good turnout of all Amateur radio stations from the Seventh District to the rest of the nation and beyond. Special event participants please copy all the frequencies and try to contact each District. We hope you are able to contact many other stations across the U.S. and Canada. You can also use VHF repeaters to make contacts or inform others of H.F. frequencies your stations are using. Listen for and try to contact "CG7SAR" a special event station operating from the International SAR Competition in Canada. Many people from the USCG Auxiliary will be attending this event and would like each station to attempt to make contact. Suggested times = 1400 Z 2200 Z 20 October , 2001.
