NLI Field Day Sites

--
Hello! Field Day is THIS weekend - Friday, June 22 through
Sunday June 24. Field Day is an emergency preparedness
exercise
where Amateur Radio operators set up and operate portable
stations
using emergency power and try to contact as many other stations
as possible during the 24 hour operating period which begins at 2
pm
EDT on Saturday.
This year, many of the Section's Amateur Radio clubs are
operating
Field Day. Listed below are those clubs who have supplied
information
to me about their Field Day operation. Please feel free to
contact the
club nearest you and/or stop down at their Field Day site.
I am sure
you will be welcomed and your participation will be appreciated!
Even
if you do not belong to a club, now is the time to see what it is
all
about and join in on the fun!
There is something at Field Day for everyone. Whether your
interest
is in learning how to set up a portable or emergency station, HF
operating, satellites, digital modes, CW, or just socializing,
Field Day
is the place to get it all in one weekend. Field Day is
"the most fun
you can have in ham radio" in one day. Please come
down to one of
the club Field Day sites listed and see for yourself.
The ARRL NY City / Long Island Section Staff will be visiting
Field
Day sites again this year. Look for one of us wearing the
distinctive
ARRL badge during operating hours on Saturday or Sunday.
Have a great Field Day!
