My favorite hobby is clearly Ham Radio. I was first licensed in 1960 as WV2MNU (1 year Novice Class) and upgraded to Technician Class WA2MNU (5wpm cw) at the end of the year.  As a Technician Class, I operated 6M  AM and did a fair amount of experimenting and building. I was also active in MARS Radio during the 1970s.

When 10M SSB was opened up to slow code Technicians Class Licensees, I migrated to the 10 M band and 2M FM.

After moving to Texas in 1993, I became interested in operating on the other HF bands. This interest was stimulated by my close association with the 3M Amateur Radio Club (W3MRC). So, I  upgraded to Advanced Class and then to Extra Class.

I'm also interested in Family Genealogy. My interest started around 1994 when I had regular connectivity to the internet. Through genealogy web pages, I've found many cousins (most were also searching for family roots). Related family surnames (spelled in various ways) are: Nevue, Nephew , Allingham, McPeak, Tessier, Geroux, Carriveau, Benoit, St George, Genereau, and Rozwadowski.  There are many many more that I have identified, but the list is too long to enter here.  Locations where my related family members reside (ed) are France, Ireland, Canada (Quebec, Huron Co Ont, New Brunswick), Michigan (Huron Co), Minnesota (Duluth and Crookston), Washington (Yakima), and New Jersey.
