Signing up for classes:
- At least 1 full month prior to the first class purchase the textbook used in the class: "Technician Class 2010-2014 [Paperback]" by Gordon West.
This book is most readily available via Amazon.com at about $20.95
- Register for the session by calling (908) 788-8253 and make arrangements to present a check for the $15.00 testing fee (collected at the time of registration to cover the cost of the testing session held the last day of class).
NOTE: Pre-paid exam fees are NOT refundable!
- When you sign up you will be provided with the telephone number and e-mail address of a tutor who can provide assistance should you get 'stuck' during your studies.
Pre-Class Preparation:
In order to successfully participate in our Amateur Radio Technician Class license courses it is necessary for the successful participant to:
- Read the entire book, marking and then skipping anything that you don't understand.
- Promptly attend all class sessions.
- Perform all study assignments as given.
- Using your marks you will be able to ask pointed questions during class. Ask questions when confronted by subjects you don't understand.
- Take a couple of trial runs through sample Technician Class exams at:

- Be well rested and of good spirit on the examination day - you will have more than adequate time to complete the examination.
Open Testing Session
As the title states, the Amateur Radio exams we offer are open sessions; you need not pre-register to take an exam but you are strongly encouraged to do so to insure that we have a suficent quanty of exams and forms on-hand.
If you plan to attend the testing session but not attend the classes, please call and register for the test session so we can provide testing material for your use.
