·         Managed national accounts receivable department for the largest aviation services company in the United States.

·         Established and enforced airline and corporate aviation credit limits for approximately forty base locations in major airports across the United States.

·         Reduced write-offs by 18% with coincident reduction of receivables ageing.

 

BABY & ME, LTD., Centerville, Massachusetts (Cape Cod) – Co-Owner

·         Developed, opened and ran specialty retail business that was profitable after 9 months.

·         Before opening: Executed market research that identified need for baby furniture, maternity wear and baby gift specialty store. Reviewed area retail sites for best location, negotiated unit lease for site with full dry basement for storage at no extra cost. Sourced vendors, negotiated freight costs and payment schedules.

·         After start-up: Worked with programmer to develop first-in, first-out inventory system for store with 15,000 different products; maintained system. Established operating procedures and helped run business.

·         Site modification and expansion: After nine months, negotiated doubled retail space and more storage near original site at no extra cost, avoiding increased marketing outlays. Moved from original location to new site in a single day, avoiding down time and maintaining convenience for customer base.
