EAWA Minutes April 14, 2005

The April meeting of The Ellsworth Amateur Wireless Association was called to order at 7:10 pm by Bruce N1VLQ.

Program
Joe Demaso K1RQG presented a program on Software Defined Radio. All modes run through a sound card and a 600 megs or higher computer is needed to operate it. It only takes 4-5 minutes to put it all together (so Joe says!). Joe recommended that one actually read the manual and download some of the Microsoft programs. Upon purchase one gets access to software and the newest developments. The price is approximately $1375 for the hardware, etc.

Upon completion of the program, introductions were made. The Secretary’s Report was accepted as e-mailed and web paged. The Treasurer’s Report (Petty Cash  $184.26, Saving’s Account $1263.54, VE Account $43.05, and Repeater Fund $42.39) was accepted as read.
