Contests

The club sponsors three contests annually. These are the Missouri QSO Party, Boeing Employees' Amateur Radio Field Day Challenge, hereafter referred to as the Field Day Challenge, and the Boeing Employees' Amateur Radio United Nations Day Contest, hereafter referred to as the UN Day Contest.

Missouri QSO Party

The Missouri QSO Party is open for participation by all licensed amateur operators world-wide. The object of the contest is to work as many stations as possible during the contest period, to provide all licensed radio amateurs outside the state of Missouri the opportunity to work Missouri counties, and to provide all licensed radio amateurs in Missouri an opportunity to work other states and countries. This contest takes place during first full weekend in April. Rules for the contest are available for download in PDF file format.

Rules for the Missouri QSO Party:

ZIP File Summary Sheet for the Missouri QSO Party (14 kB file size) in Adobe Acrobat Reader, Microsoft Word, and ASCII text file formats.

ZIP File Log Sheet for the Missouri QSO Party (15 kB file size) in Adobe Acrobat Reader, Microsoft Word, and ASCII text file formats. This log sheet is set up so that a multiple page logbook can be created by adding extra rows to the table. Columns are provided to record the complete exchange from the station worked, but only the serial number from the local station--the assumption is that only the serial number will change for the local station. Mobile and Rover stations using this sheet are advised to create different logs for each county of operation. The county can be recorded at the appropriate location at the top of the log sheet.

WriteLog for Windows Contest Module (TBD file size) executable plug-in.

Field Day Challenge

The Field Day Challenge is a private competition between Boeing affiliated amateur radio clubs participating in the ARRL annual Field Day event. The object of the Field Day Challenge is to motivate Boeing affiliated clubs to participate in the ARRL annual Field Day event, create a friendly competition and camaraderie between clubs, and to recognize excellence in contesting performance. A single plaque is awarded to the winning club on a revolving basis. Rules for the contest are available for download in PDF file format.

The fabulous Field Day Challenge plaque is awarded annually on a rotating basis to the Boeing amateur radio club with the highest Field Day score.
